进入敏感边境之前，先问 authority。

在进入 Iran 之前，我一直尝试和相关 authority 保持联系。 其中一个重要 contact，就是 Embassy of Iran in Malaysia。

他们回复很快，也很有耐心。在我还没进入 Iran、还在处理 visa validity、 extension、是否需要重新申请等问题时，他们直接告诉我哪些事情可以 online 做， 哪些事情不可以。

对 solo overland 来说，这不是 paperwork 而已。 这是 safety discipline：在靠近边境之前，尽量不要靠猜，不要靠 hearsay， 而是直接问 authority，留下清楚的 communication trail。
